We created a completely new technology for sound absorption that is based on tuff stone porosity. As tuff is a volcanic stone, it has holes within its construction on a microscopic level due to natural conditions. Thus, by mixing tuff dust with other materials, we produced a product that absorbs sound by up to 40 decibels (0.55 to 0.87 absorption coefficient), which is more than enough to cover the basic noise in homes and offices. We conducted various experiments to ensure the effectiveness of the panels, and checked it through specialized machinery that recognizes absorption levels.

Patn'Pat is installed on the top of the main wall inside the building with the help of 3D-printed frames. They were designed in collaboration with engineers to ensure safety and ease of installation. Installation is based on the puzzle system, with each of the panels connected to each other from four sides (depending on the form and shape), which equally distributes weight among them and on the wall accordingly. Moreover, the durability of frames is expected to be at least 7 years due to the PED-G material used for printing.

Our product is fully customizable in its shape, collor, and form. The production is based on the mixing of materials and the usage of silicon forms made both for standard size/shape panels, as well as for completely customized products. New forms for panels are checked in terms of sound absorption effectiveness, and only then are they used in production. Moreover, natural colors of Tuff are red, pink, brown, orange, and black; at the same time, we can produce various colors of the product through inclusion of ecologically friendly dyes based on the specified order.

Patn'Pat panels are completely sustainable. All materials used in production include only environmentally friendly components and do not incorporate any kind of toxic or chemical items harmful to nature or people. Moreover, our company is based on three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. All waste that is left unused during panel production is acquired for new panels and inserted in the assembly line accordingly. Besides that, products placed inside the building do not generate new particles of dust, and can also be given back under certain conditions.

Patn'Pat preserves cultural heritage. Tuff is highly associated with Armenia, and especially Yerevan. Almost all Armenians, including diaspora individuals, are aware of such a stone and have some connection with its colors, buildings made of it, and the memories of generations. Interestingly, Yerevan is even called "The Pink City" starting from the 20th century and until nowadays due to the fact that about 90% of buildings, as well as claddings, are made of tuff in the city, which is why we are seeing it in everyday life. Moreover, starting from the ancient times when Armenia recognized Christianity as an official state religion (301 AD), all churches all over the country were built with tuff too, which shows the long bond of the nation with the stone. Thus, though tuff is mainly used for exterior design in the country, we would like to preserve it and provide a door towards exploring its capabilities outside of Armenia by bringing it to the exterior design of homes and other buildings.

Each standard panel is made in 20x20x1.5 cm. size characteristics (can be changed depending on the panel's form and shape). Such a decision is made in order to mitigate risks of breaking the panel during transportation and installation process, as well as to ensure ease of installation of the product on top of the well (correct weight balancing). Panels with a larger number of reliefs absorb sound more effectively and help in noise diffusion, as well as reduce echo. Experiments conducted with different panels include: Sound Absorption Test; Noise Reduction Coefficient Test; Compression Strength Test; Humidity (moisture absorption) test; Temperature test; Vibration Resistance Test; Fire Reaction Test; Indoor Air Quality Test; Dust Resistance Test
